Ashley E. Hedrick primarily practices in the areas of family law, criminal defense, personal injury, and general civil litigation matters.

Ashley began her legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Danville, Virginia, where she prosecuted criminal offenses, including, but not limited to, arson, domestic assault and battery, DUIs, distributions/possessions of schedule I/II substances, and malicious woundings. During her time as a prosecutor, she became accustomed to proceeding to trial, as the Danville Commonwealth Attorney’s Office had a strict no-deal policy when dealing with criminal defendants. Though Ashley handled a variety of criminal offenses, her true passion lay in domestic cases, where she worked closely with victims and helped support them emotionally through the course of their cases.

After leaving prosecution, Ashley worked for a general practice firm, doing everything from criminal defense to landlord/tenant disputes, contract drafting, estate planning, representing children as a guardian ad litem, divorces, custody, and visitation; however, ultimately, the area she was most drawn to was family law litigation.

Unfortunately, there are significant similarities between domestic violence prosecution and most family law litigation. When dealing with legal issues involving loved ones, Ashley knows all too much how emotional and stressful this process can be for clients. Ashley approaches each case with zeal and compassion, helping her clients navigate some of the most difficult times of their lives, so they can move forward with confidence.
